Email forwarding
All of our accounts offer unlimited email forwarding, i.e. you can forward e-mail received at your domain name to another e-mail account. For example, emails for johnsmith@yourname.co.uk could be forwarded to john@johnsmith66.freeserve.co.uk.
POP3 email
This allows you to set up 'standard' email addresses, such as info@yourdomain.com, sales@yourdomain.com, etc. You will receive and send such emails with software like Microsoft's Outlook Express. Incoming emails are stored on our server until you access the server (which happens automatically if you are on-line and run e.g. Outlook Express) when they are downloaded to your computer. Outgoing emails will be sent via your existing ISP.
To configure your email software, you need to setup:
- A POP3 host address.
If your domain name is www.domainname.com, this will be mail.yourdomain.com.
- A SMTP host address.
This needs to be set up as required by your ISP: contact them for details.
Control Panel
If you select the Control Panel option, you can set up these email settings yourself. There is a charge for the Control Panel Option.
If you do not have the Control Panel, we can make the changes for you: simply send OxheyNet an email at help@oxhey.net and we will notify you by email when the change has been made.
